At the World Impact Teen Center, we have a vision to see unchurched youth in our community come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior and be equipped and empowered to walk in their Kingdom calling. Through missional partnerships and the local urban church, we seek to resource urban leaders to be agents of compassion and justice in their communities. We believe that the youth are the next generation of leaders in their workplaces, households, communities, and churches. We do this through:
Relational Youth Ministry
Our youth ministry leaders step into the lives of young people through going to school and community events and building relationships beyond programming.
We provide a safe atmosphere where we offer life-giving activities. We also share a Gospel-centered testimony or message every other week that is geared towards unchurched urban youth. We demonstrate compassion and justice by helping students holistically through life skill classes such as the Young Entrepreneur's Program, Tutoring, Athletics, and College-Prep.
Once a week there is both a Middle School Kaleo time (Fridays) and High School Kaleo time (Wednesdays) where students who want to go deeper in their faith or even just learn more about who Jesus is can come, eat a family-style meal together, hear a short message, engage in worship to God, and journey with their peers and leaders in a Life Transformation Group to discuss in greater detail about the message.
Being a Bridge to the Church
We help bridge students to The Rock Church. This happens naturally since our youth leaders are part of The Rock and invite students to church. We also do this through our Family Nights, which are outreaches to families of students who do not have a church.
Kaleo Middle and High School Youth Groups
We equip youth to love God and love others, as we teach the word, worship, and share our lives in small groups.
Discipleship and Bible Studies
As students come to know Christ, youth leaders follow up with them and walk alongside them in their relationship with God.
CORE Youth Leadership Team
Each student in this leadership program is given a mentor through their local urban church that helps them holistically. We also empower the youth to be agents of change in their community through teachings, missional outings, and our summer missions trip.
Young Adult Leadership Development
We continue to walk alongside young adults through our weekly young adult gatherings. Some of the young adults who came up through the ministry will also be called to join our youth ministry team and reinvest. As they do youth ministry, they develop character and spiritual gifts to be Kingdom leaders for the long haul. We do leadership development through team trainings, coaching, and conferences.
